The hazy natural lens can be replaced without any pain on a day case surgery, under local anaesthesia. We take great pride that we have access to new technology implants to meet your needs.
As damage from glaucoma is irreversible, early diagnosis is of high importance. Mr Georgopoulos offers all kind of LASER and glaucoma surgery available and you can book a consultation to discuss if you’re suitable for Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) or conventional surgery (Trabeculectomy or Tube Shunts).
Our scope is to improve your eyesight and your quality of life. With access to high end technology, you will be receiving tailored, world-class laser eye surgery to eliminate your dependency to glasses or contact lenses.
Despite safe, highly effective laser surgery techniques, some times high prescriptions cannot be treated in such way. For these type of eyes we offer implantable contact lenses (ICL). ICL surgery is also an excellent option for eyes with significant dry eye disease or kerataoconus. It is day surgery performed with topical anaesthetic. The benefit of this option is the lack of permanent alteration to the cornea.
The cornea, the window of the eye, is usually round and clear. In keratoconic eyes the cornea thins and becomes cone-shaped. That causes distorted and blurred vision. In the early stages, contact lenses and glasses are usually enough to manage the disease but when progresses surgical intervention might be necessary.
We take great pride in offering state of the art imaging and management in most of the retinal diseases. Among the conditions we identify and treat is Retinal Detachment, Age Related Macular Degeneration, Retinal Vascular Occlusions and Diabetic Retinopathy.
